My journey to the International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2025 began long before I set foot in Beijing, China. It started in Bangladesh, where the national selection process brought together some of the brightest young minds in AI. Each stage of the competition was both a challenge and a learning experience, and with every step I grew closer to becoming one of the four students entrusted with the honor of representing my country on the global stage.

Arriving in Beijing was nothing short of surreal. From the moment we landed, the warmth and hospitality of the volunteers made us feel at home in a land that was new and unfamiliar. The event itself was alive with energy, a place where knowledge, curiosity, and culture intersected. What stood out most was the spirit of camaraderie; conversations often began with simple exchanges about food, hobbies, or traditions and blossomed into genuine friendships that transcended borders.

Some experiences went beyond the competition itself and turned into once-in-a-lifetime memories. Climbing the Great Wall of China was both physically demanding and deeply rewarding. Standing atop that historic monument, surrounded by peers from dozens of nations, felt almost magical, a reminder that despite our differences, we were all connected by the same passion for learning and discovery. Another unforgettable moment was the cultural night, where music, dance, and shared traditions painted a beautiful picture of unity in diversity.

The days in Beijing passed quickly, filled with intense problem-solving, lively discussions, and explorations of the city’s hidden corners. Every walk through the venue, every shared meal, every laugh with new friends added meaning to the experience.

Looking back, IOAI 2025 gave me much more than a medal. It gave me stories to tell, perspectives to cherish, and friendships that span continents. Above all, it showed me that competitions like these are not just about winning, but about celebrating knowledge, embracing diversity, and building bridges across cultures. I returned home carrying a bronze medal, but more importantly, carrying memories and connections that will inspire me for years to come.
