A Dream Wrapped in Cyan and White: My IOAI 2025 Journey

IOAI 2025, for me, is not just a competition, it is a memory, an emotion, a memento I will treasure whenever my heart seeks a quiet refuge. The journey began with hurdles, as the national team selections coincided with my year-final examinations. Yet, as always, the selection camps brimmed with brilliance, participants and instructors alike filling the air with an intellectual aroma that never fails to enchant me. This year was no exception.

Once the team was formed, preparation for the main challenge began, sleepless nights, half-finished cups of coffee, and the constant glow of a PC screen filled with at-home problems. We were fortunate to receive guidance from experts in both industry and academia, and I remain deeply grateful to the exceptional BdAIO academic team for their unwavering support.

And then, I boarded the flight to Beijing. The atmosphere shifted instantly. The tension of competition melted into a spirit of camaraderie, pure, youthful, and alive. What unfolded in Beijing feels almost untranslatable into words, a dreamy week I wish to guard close to my heart. Perhaps some experiences are too rare, too delicate, to be shared freely, only those fortunate enough to live them will truly understand. To me, those days in Beijing felt like a scene from a film painted in shades of cyan and white.

We all know how the story ended. Bangladesh secured two bronze medals and one honourable mention, its first-ever awards at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. The honourable mention certificate I brought home may one day fade into just another piece of paper, but the hazy, luminous days and nights of Beijing will remain etched within me forever.

謝謝中國 — Thank you, China.
