২০২৫ সালে বাংলাদেশ আর্টিফিশিয়াল ইন্টেলিজেন্স অলিম্পিয়াড (বিডিএআইও) আয়োজনের লক্ষ্যে গতকাল মঙ্গলবার রাজধানীর মিরপুরে বাংলাদেশ ইউনিভার্সিটি অব বিজনেস অ্যান্ড টেকনোলজির (বিইউবিটি) সভাকক্ষে এক সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক এ বি এম শওকত আলি বলেন, আগামী দিনগুলোতে এআইয়ের বিকাশ এবং এআইয়ের প্রভাবে বিশ্ব নানাভাবে প্রভাবিত হবে। আর তাই বিদ্যালয় থেকেই আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীদের এআই প্রযুক্তি বিষয়ে ধারণা দেওয়ার পাশাপাশি আগামী দিনের জন্য তৈরি করতে হবে। আজ বুধবার এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন)।
সভায় ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি ইনস্টিটিউটের পরিচালক ও আন্তর্জাতিক এআই অলিম্পিয়াডে বাংলাদেশ দলের দলনেতা অধ্যাপক বি এম মইনুল হোসেন জানান, ‘গত বছর বাংলাদেশ এআই অলিম্পিয়াড বিলম্বে শুরু হওয়ায় আমাদের অনেক শিক্ষার্থী অংশ নিতে পারেনি। এরপরও সৌদি আরবে অনুষ্ঠিত আন্তর্জাতিক এআই অলিম্পিয়াডে বাংলাদেশ দল দুটি রুপা ও দুটি ব্রোঞ্জ পদক পেয়েছে। এবার আরও ভালো ফল করার জন্য ২ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে বাংলাদেশ আর্টিফিশিয়াল ইনটেলিজেন্স অলিম্পিয়াড আয়োজনের প্রস্তুতি শুরু হয়েছে।’
সভায় আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিইউবিটির কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞান এবং প্রকৌশল (সিএসই) বিভাগের শিক্ষক মো. সাইফুর রহমান, আশরাফুল ইসলাম ও সুদীপ্ত চাকী, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যুগ্ম পরিচালক মো.সাইফুল ইসলাম এবং বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্কের (বিডিএএসএন) সভাপতি মুনির হাসান। বাংলাদেশ এআই আলিম্পিয়াড সম্পর্কে হালনাগাদ তথ্য জানা যাবে এই ঠিকানায় (www.bdaio.org) ।
